Our Classes
We proudly follow the BBO syllabus and are accredited by them, we ensure excellence through our Trinity and Ofsted training.
Our students shine in our exciting end-of-term show every summer, showcasing their hard work and talent. Our calendar follows the school terms and is full of dynamic workshops, academy trips, competitions and a fun-packed summer school. We provide an enriching environment where every dancer can flourish and grow their skills.

Acorns
Introduction to dance
Age 3-4
Pre-Primary
A lively 45-minute introduction to the joyful world of dance! Perfect for little movers aged 3-4, this class encourages creativity, coordination and confidence through playful music and simple dance steps.
Parents and guardians are warmly invited to stay and join in the fun during the first class.

Seedlings
Age 5-6
Primary
Little dancers twirl into the magical world of ballet & tap! 30 minutes of each style at a primary level following the BBO syllabus, mastering the fundamentals. This fun-filled class combines, colourful props, & upbeat music to inspire creativity & rhythm. With friendly instructors, children will develop their coordination, grace, & confidence while making friends and having a blast.

Saplings
Age 7-8
Grade 1-2
Grade 1-3 classes, 45 minutes of each style. In these energetic sessions, budding dancers will hone in their skills in ballet, tap, & jazz while building confidence & coordination. As they gain more experience & understanding of dance movements, our classes will shift to focus on refining technique, developing strong core strength, & perfecting alignment - setting the stage for future dance stars to shine!

Oaks
COMING SOON Age 10-13
Grade 3-4
Dancers dive deeper into the expressive worlds of ballet, tap, & jazz, with 1 hour of each style. As they build on their foundational skills, these classes focus on enhancing technique, body awareness, & personal style, allowing students to truly shine on stage. Students will develop confidence & performance skills while having a blast mastering exciting choreography. Previous dance experience is recommended for these classes.

Seniors

Advanced
These are advanced dance classes in Ballet Tap & Jazz lasting 1 hour each. They are designed for passionate dancers aiming to elevate their artistry & technical skills. Through a blend of rigorous technique training, stamina-building exercises, & exercises to enhance stage presence & expression, participants will explore their unique styles & individuality. Classes will focus on honing specific skills essential for successful college auditions & further dance education, while also fostering a genuine love for the art of dance. Whether aspiring for professional opportunities or dancing for personal fulfillment, students will leave empowered & more attuned to their own dance identity.

Musical Theatre
Tuesdays Age 6+
This class is 1 hour long, where students aged 6 & above will embark on a journey to become a confident 'triple threat.' Through fun, engaging exercises, & expert guidance, we will develop & refine their acting, singing, & dancing skills. Our class will cover key areas including: script work, character development, vocal warm-ups & harmonies, & dance techniques, & choreography from popular musicals. By the end of our sessions, students will have a solid foundation in the art of musical theatre. Whether you dream of being a Westend star or just want to have a blast, this class is the perfect place to shine!

Adult Beginner
Age 18+
Our vibrant adult dance classes last 1 hour, where we offer engaging sessions in ballet, tap, Legs bums & tums, dance fit & seated dance! We even have 'Silver Swans' Ballet class for our extra mature students. Whether you're rekindling a childhood passion, discovering a new skill, or simply aiming to stay fit, our classes are designed for all levels, with a strong emphasis on fun and creativity. We focus on teaching technique from the ground up in a welcoming, beginner-friendly environment, ensuring you feel confident while enjoying dance. Come express yourself & embrace the art of movement!

This dynamic, 1 hour class will have you grooving to the hottest chart hits while unleashing your inner sass. Beginner friendly but some dance experience would be an advantage. Here we slow it down a bit & set the foundations , focusing on safe techniques, building stamina, & discovering your unique style. TikTokers ain’t got nothing on the fun & energy in this poppy class! Think fiery routines, sassy moves, & a whole lot of fun! If you're a young dancer looking to spice up your skills & strut your stuff, this class is for you! So, come ready to groove, sweat, and slay!

Get ready to unleash your inner star in our dynamic 1 hour class, perfect for aspiring backing dancers! Join us for a fast-paced journey through chart-topping hits that will have you grooving and expressing your inner sass. Designed for ages 13 & up with dance experience, this high-energy class will help you sharpen your skills & technique, learn thrilling choreography, & build your confidence, focusing on individuality! Don’t miss your chance to dance to the song you love.

Heels
COMING SOON Age 16+
Ok ladies, get ready to unleash your inner diva in our 1 hour Heels class! Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro (16+ welcome!), we'll teach you the techniques to strut your stuff from the ground up. This is your chance to embrace your sassy, sexy side and experience some serious self-care. While dance experience is helpful, all levels are encouraged to join us to slay!

We welcome new students all year round, providing we have space in your desired class, if there is not you can join our wait list. After your taster session, classes are paid for termly & registration days are held yearly (AUGUST). ALL students new & existing must register each year to secure a spot.

Meet Our Crew
Your little stars are in safe hands, all of our coaches hold an enhanced DBS check, completed necessary safe guarding, are insured and are first aid trained.
Frances Leigh
Principle/Coach
Frances began her dance journey at the age of 11 after being enrolled at her local dance school, as an attempt to over come her childhood shyness. Once placed on a stage, she absolutely came to life!
She then attended regular classes in acting, singing and dancing completing multiple examinations and flourishing in numerous amateur and professional stage performances.
At 13 Frances was the first student in her dance school to obtain a Jazz scholarship with the BBO in London being tutored by some of the best teachers in the country.
At 18 she went on to complete further training at SLP college of performing arts in Leeds.
After graduating she went on to work in the industry performing in multiple stage productions such as, Little Red Riding Hood, Dick Whittington, Robbin Hood, Aladdin, Back to the land, Sussical, The Chartists, SA work for Casualty and Pobol Y Cwm, to name a few.
After covid hit, she then turned her passion to teaching to pass on her knowledge to the next generation. She has been a dance TA, taught in after school dance clubs and decided to take the plunge and open her own, fully fledged, performing arts Academy.
Our wonderful group of volunteers is truly the heartbeat of our academy, an incredible blend of friends, family, and dedicated dance moms whose unwavering support makes everything we do possible.
They go above and beyond, from delighting everyone with tea and cake from Danny's Delights between classes to working tirelessly behind the scenes with shows, lighting, and chaperoning events and trips. Their selfless dedication not only enhances our community but also helps me maintain my sanity amidst the whirlwind of activity.
I am endlessly grateful for this extraordinary group of humans who bring warmth, joy, and unswerving commitment to our academy.
